2013 Totem Pole Installtion at Fort Lewis Collage, Durango Colorado
The commission is from the Native American Center and installed in their community room, the totem pole is David boxleys 70th completed totem pole and is 9 feet long and carved from a red cedar log. The intention of the totem pole is to recognize the Alaska Native students who have earned and will earn Fort Lewis College degrees.
The perfomance group Git-Hoan, People of the Salmon, performed traditional cerimonial songs and dances following the unveiling of the totem pole.
